How To Proofread Classification Essay

Classification essays are the easiest form of writing but still student don’t get good grades in the classification essays, the answer is very simple, they don’t bother to proofread it because they think they can’t do any mistakes in such an easy essay.Whatever the type of essay is, they should proofread it again and again so as to make sure there are no traces of mistakes left.

There are some students as well who doesn’t even know the proper way of revising a classification essay, what they do is just go through it and then submit it. There are many aspects which one should keep in mind while revising a classification essay. In order to guide those students we have developed a revision checklist so that there are no chances left of getting good grades in exams.

1- The first thing that comes is the introduction, make sure the introduction has all the required components, that are the thesis statement, introduction to the topic and a glimpse of what a reader should expect from the rest of the essay. Furthermore, you should also check if it is clearly classifying the topic or not?

2- Is the opening sentence that you used in the essay interesting and attractive to grab the attention of the reader, is it creating mystery?

3- Does each body paragraph starting with a topic sentence or not? Which should be supporting the thesis statement and the topic of the classification essay?

4- What is the tone of the essay? Is it maintaining a logical and coherent tone?The classification essay writing should be well organized in which every paragraph is interrelated with each other.

5- Is classification essay identifying the difference between styles and approaches used?

6- Is there any extraneous material?If yes then get rid of it immediately.

7- There should be a flow in classification essay writing,make sure it is organized in way that doesn’t disrupt the flow. Have you used enough transition words to connect the paragraphs

8- What is the classification essay conclusion saying? Is it claiming that your thesis statement was right?Is it stressing on the importance of classification or placing one approach over the other.

9- What is sentence structure of classification essay writing? Is there any need to restructure the sentences?Is there any room for further improvement?

10- Is the tone of the classification essay clear and cut? Is there anything which might confuse the reader,if yes then correct it as soon as possible?

11- You must read your division and classification essay aloud; this will make it much easier for you to trace out the mistakes out of your essay.

Hence,if you will read the preceding revision check list and follow it while proofreading the essay then you would surely be able to fetch good grades in your essay exams. Final words of advice are to ask someone else as well to check your classification essay for you and after that submit it to your teacher.
