Pregnancy is the most beautiful phase of woman’s life. Not a single woman will wish any complications during their pregnancy. But, these complications usually lead to very dangerous results. Many times, either the woman or child may taste death. In certain cases, only the child or mother has to face death. Thus, these complications are life-threatening. Tubal pregnancy is categorized in ectopic pregnancy.
Numerous complications occur during pregnancy. Pregnancy usually starts with fertilized egg. Generally, the fertilized egg itself gets bonded to uterus lining. In the case of ectopic pregnancy, this fertilized egg gets planted out of the uterus. The plantation of fertilized egg outside the uterus creates dangerous situation. This egg gets planted in various areas such as fallopian tube, ovaries, cervix, and abdomen. When a fertilized egg gets attach to any other part of the body, it welcomes a severe complications that requires immediate medical attention.
As the fertilized eggs get planted in fallopian tube, it affects the fallopian tube. Generally, fallopian tube carries fertilized eggs from ovaries to fallopian tube. But, when this egg is found attached to the lining of fallopian tube – it is known as tubal pregnancy. Pregnancy begins with a fertilized egg. Normally, the fertilized egg attaches itself to the lining of the uterus. With an ectopic pregnancy, the fertilized egg implants somewhere else. Very rarely, it gets implanted in the ovary, abdomen, or cervix. This kind of pregnancy cannot develop healthily, thus the fertilized egg is unable to endure. Its growth may damage various maternal parts of the body. If neglected, this problem will cause excessive loss of blood. Extreme internal bleeding will unconscious the patient and invite critical condition. Hence, immediately seek medical attention and start the treatment.
In most of the cases, a woman with tubal pregnancy will not show any symptoms of being pregnant. The tubal pregnancy symptoms in the initial period is very much similar to normal pregnancy such as breast tenderness, extreme weakness, nausea, and missed periods. The first symptoms of tubal pregnancy are:
Giddiness
Light vaginal bleeding
Pain in lower abdomen
Sharp and piercing pain in the pelvis region
Cramps on one side of pelvis
Lightheadedness
As soon as you notice bleeding in vaginal areas or experience pain in lower abdomen, it is better to consult your obstetrics. Never ever neglect slightest abnormal signs shown by your body. This neglection often welcomes critical problems. Immediately call 911 or look for urgent medical attention. If you experience any symptoms or signs of tubal pregnancy that includes:
Excessive vaginal bleeding
Pain in shoulder
Extreme pain in lower abdomen
Excessive lightheadedness
Fainting or being in shock
A strong desire to visit restroom
The tubal pregnancy usually occurs when a fertilized egg gets trapped on its way to uterus. This is caused due to damaged or inflamed fallopian tube. Certain times, the exact reason for tubal pregnancy remains mystery. If the tubal pregnancy is diagnosed at very early stage- the patient can be treated with medicated drugs that cause abortion. But in the later stage, there is no option left without surgery.
